Dr. Troy Davis, DC

Dr. Troy Davis is a Ventura County local, who has always been passionate about sports. During his time at a local High School, Dr. Troy played Football and Track. Fellow teammates would describe him as a team-player, competitive, and dedicated to his craft. Dr. Troy had high hopes of playing Football at the collegiate level, but suffered a career ending knee injury during a playoff game that altered his plans for the future, entirely.

Dr. Troy was first introduced to Dr. Christian Alvarez and the Complete Performance Center team, as a patient, while attending California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. Dr. Troy knew he wanted to be involved in the Healthcare Industry, but was unsure with which Medical Field he should pursue. While receiving treatment at the Complete Performance Center, Dr. Troy was offered a student intern role to partner under Dr. Alvarez, which he did for 3 years. It was during those 3 years that Dr. Troy then realized that Chiropractic was where he was meant to be!

Dr. Troy received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Sciences, from California Lutheran University and went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California to pursue his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree.

While attending Palmer West, he was involved in the Sports Council Program providing care as a Student Intern for outreach events, such as the Santa Cruz Triathlon and Monterey Sea Otter Classic Surfing Competition. He volunteered countless hours to support various local organizations, and found great joy working along-side athletes.

Dr. Troy received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer West and moved back down to the Ventura County, in 2018, where he re-joined the Complete Performance Center team.
Dr. Troy spends time playing basketball, baseball, and golf on the weekend. He enjoys hiking and wine tasting, with his wife Kaylan and their Goldendoodle Toby.

Ryan Denihan – Athletic Trainer

Ryan Denihan has a passion for optimizing young athlete’s potentials and helping them excel at the sport they love. For over 14 years, Ryan has been involved in coaching high school athletes. His belief is that an athlete should strengthen the muscles specific to the sport, which in turn limits potential injury and maximizes the athlete’s performance. In his experience, injuries generally come from a lack of strength in key areas. To help minimize potential injury, Ryan develops a sound foundation focusing on efficient movement to create a faster, stronger and more explosive player.

Ryan started his love of sports as a kid growing up in the Midwest where he lettered in football, basketball and track. When he moved to California in high school, he also discovered a love for Volleyball and after two years of playing was a valued player achieving All-Area/County/CIF and a Fab 50 recruit. Ryan then continued his volleyball career at California State University, Northridge, where, despite being one of the smallest middle blockers in the country, he continued to excel. Ryan has also played with and against every member of the USA Gold Medal Olympic Volleyball Team. Ryan acknowledges that during his time at California State University, Northridge, he realized that sport specific training was vital to optimal performance. It is this passion combined with his experiences and education that make him a vital part of the CPC team. In his free time, Ryan and his lovely wife, Amy, enjoy spending time with their first son, Logan. To learn more about training and CPC’s proprietary performance program please give us a call.
