Physical Therapy
We are proud to announce the addition of physical therapy to CPC USA of Thousand Oaks. We have listened to the wishes of our patient’s and the physicians we work with and have made their request possible. Physical Therapy is now a vital part of the services we provide our patients here at CPC USA. Physical Therapy is used for conservative management of a wide variety of conditions. In many cases our patients are being encouraged to see our physical therapy department before electing surgery.
Here at CPC USA our physical therapists help patients with orthopedic conditions such as low back pain, osteoporosis; joint and soft tissue injuries and let us not forget sports injuries. Fractures, dislocations and post surgical rehabilitation are common reasons to see our physical therapist.
At CPC USA We Care
The individualized, "hands on" approach that characterizes our physical therapists are highly valued by our patients. When a physical therapist sees a patient for the first time, he or she examines that individual and develops a plan of care that promotes the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent further injury. The physical therapist and the patient then work side-by-side to make sure that the goals of the treatment plan are met.
Therapeutic exercise and functional training are the cornerstones of our CPC USA physical therapist department. Depending on the particular needs of a patient, physical therapists may "manipulate" a joint (that is, perform certain types of passive movements at the end of the patient's range of motion) or massage a muscle to promote proper movement and function. Physical therapists may use other techniques such as electrotherapy, ultrasound (high-frequency waves that produce heat), hot packs, and ice in addition to other treatments when appropriate.
Physical therapists will also work with individuals to prevent loss of mobility by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
If you need physical therapy call the office and book an appointment today. You have nothing to lose except pain!
